No doubt Alexis is a great photographer. Finally, I can link to the pictures taken on our autumn visit to Ireland.

He IS a damn good photographer!!!
Really nice pics… but didn’t got the point about the lounge’s door ones…
Are you TRYING to play the tough (maybe Irish) guys? … or you just had something dodgy for lunch?
About your post in my flog: I was offering “virtual” flowers to some friends of mine and those ones were to CRazY-Paula. Warhol psychedelic ones.
Sam, you obviously are no expert in photography…
It is not because you have a good camera that you will also be able to take good pictures.
However, for the sake of honesty, I must say that this is exactly the reason why I always fail…
I’d photography is all about trying to capture an aspect of a moment in time. To do that involves elements of composition, but also significantly, the appropriate tools. My Olympus FE110 manages to capture some decent shots, but as you can see, they are a bit grainy and not always exposed correctly. Choosing the point of focus, focal length, aperture setting. . . all of these allow more control of the composition, which will aid in the overall aim of capturing the moment. My Canon SLR Rebel2000 does this much better, but alas it’s not digital.
My God, Sam, it was a JOKE! What a serious and technical explanation are you giving us here But okay, it seems I have underestimated your knowledge on photography.
No seriously, you are of course right in saying that a good camera is a prerequisite for taking nice pictures. And also, I think the picture in the link (as well as the others of the Atomium) are very nice, although you could probably call me a bit biased - it ìs Brussels after all. Judging from the trees you have only been there recently and thus after the renovation?

I came back last week. I was there for a few meetings, and unfortunately only got to the Atomium after it closed. It’s beautiful, though!
